Our Mission Church

The Saint Mary of the Desert Catholic Mission is attended by a Deacon of the Catholic Church and is an outreach of Our Lady of Fatima Parish located at 1950 Irvington Place, Tucson, AZ 85746.

As we do not have an assigned priest to the mission, we observe the Sunday obligation by a Vigil Communion Service* celebrated with the Rite of distributing Holy Communion outside Mass with the celebration of the Word of God.  This is not a Mass but a Communion Service but fulfilled the Sunday obligation of celebrating the Day of Resurrection.

However, from time-to-time, the pastor at Our Lady of Fatima, Father Vili, or his associate Father Simon, or a guest priest will celebrate Mass for our community.  Please check the web site weekly as we will post the occasions of the Mass when we will have a priest available for Confession and Mass.

At 5:00-5:30 p.m. on Saturday, the Vigil Communion Service is preceded with the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy and Exposition / Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Vigil Communion services* are held every Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

John 13:8 Peter said to him, “You will never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no share with me.” Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!”.
